This Privacy Policy is effective as of March 23, 2026.
Welcome to Annuity-Calculators.com ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection, use, and disclosure when you visit our website (the "Site").
1. Information we collect
We do not collect any information you provide directly — all calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers.
The following information may be collected through Google Analytics:
- Browser type, operating system, and device characteristics.
- Pages visited, actions taken, and time spent on the Site.
- Referring websites or links.
- Approximate geographic location (e.g., country or region).
Google Analytics processes IP addresses only transiently to provide geolocation and ensure service functionality. IP addresses are not stored in our systems, and Google Analytics does not provide us with access to individual IP addresses. Only aggregated, non‑identifiable geographic data is retained (such as country‑level visit counts).
Cloudflare Pages, which hosts our Site, also processes IP addresses transiently for security, performance, and routing purposes. Cloudflare may generate aggregated analytics (such as total visits or country‑level traffic), but we do not receive or store individual IP addresses.
For more information, refer to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics' Privacy Policy.
For visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, and Brazil this data is collected only with your consent (see Section 5). For visitors in other regions, this data is collected automatically as part of normal Site operation.
We also use cookies and similar tracking technologies, which are managed separately depending on their purpose (see Section 5 for full details):
- Analytics cookies — including Google Analytics cookies; only set with your consent if you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or Brazil.
- Marketing cookies — set by affiliate networks to track referrals and conversions when you click affiliate links on this Site. These cookies are not currently active. When affiliate links are introduced, marketing cookies will only be set with your consent if you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or Brazil. For visitors in other regions, they will be set automatically as part of normal Site operation at that time.
Important notice: The annuity calculator is provided for informational and illustrative purposes only. It does not constitute financial, investment, or tax advice. Results are estimates based on the inputs you provide and should not be relied upon as a guarantee of future performance. Please consult a qualified financial advisor before making any financial decisions.
2. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information for targeted advertising. The limited data collected through Google Analytics and Cloudflare (as described in Section 1) is governed by their respective data processing agreements and privacy policies.
We may also disclose information in the following circumstances:
- Legal requirements — If required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
- Business transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide advance notice of any such change.
3. Data retention
We do not directly store any personal data. Google Analytics retains usage data for 2 months, after which it is automatically deleted.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit the Site. We use two categories of cookies:
- Analytics cookies — used to understand how visitors interact with the Site (e.g., Google Analytics). For visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, and Brazil these are only set with your consent. For visitors in other regions, these are set automatically as part of normal Site operation.
- Marketing cookies — set by affiliate networks to track referrals and conversions when you click affiliate links on this Site. These cookies are not currently in use. When affiliate links are introduced, visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, and Brazil will be asked for consent before these cookies are set. For visitors in other regions, they will be set automatically at that time. We will update this policy and, where required, seek new consent before activating marketing cookies.
You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time.
5. Your privacy rights
Since we do not directly store personal data, the information held about you is limited to analytics data processed by Google Analytics and Cloudflare on our behalf, and — once added — affiliate tracking data processed by affiliate networks.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access — Request details of what data is held about you. We will provide you with relevant information and direct you to the appropriate third-party processor where applicable.
- Deletion — Request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at [email protected]. Please note that due to the nature of the analytics technology we use, we are unable to identify individual users within our analytics data and therefore cannot delete a specific user's record. However, Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses — they are discarded immediately after use for approximate geolocation — and all analytics data is automatically deleted within 2 months regardless. Affiliate network cookies, once added, use pseudonymized tracking data managed by the respective network under their own GDPR obligations. We will confirm receipt of your request and the expected deletion date.
- Withdraw consent — You may withdraw your consent to analytics and marketing cookies at any time via your cookie preferences or browser settings. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time (see Section 6 for details).
- Lodge a complaint — If you believe your data has been processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK, or your EU Member State's data protection authority).
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Regional privacy rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have additional rights beyond those described in Section 5. Please refer to the section applicable to your region.
United States residents
A growing number of US states have enacted privacy laws that grant residents rights over their personal information. Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, request deletion of your personal information, correct inaccurate personal information, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising purposes.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal data for targeted advertising.
States with active privacy laws whose residents may have these rights include, but are not limited to: California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Texas (TDPSA), and others. We treat all US residents consistently under these principles regardless of state.
Data breach notification: In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected residents in accordance with applicable state law, including California's data breach notification requirements.
To submit a privacy request, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 45 days, consistent with the timeframes prescribed by applicable state law.
EU, EEA & UK users — GDPR
If you are located in the EU, EEA, or the United Kingdom, the following applies.
Lawful basis for processing
We process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests — to operate and improve the Site, analyze usage trends, and protect against fraud and abuse. We have assessed that this limited processing is proportionate to our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site — given the anonymized nature of the data, the absence of individual profiling, and automatic deletion within 2 months — and that it does not override your privacy rights and freedoms. You may object to this processing at any time (see Section 5).
- Consent — to set non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) where required.
- Legal obligation — where processing is required to comply with applicable law.
Your additional rights under GDPR
In addition to the rights described in Section 5, you have the right to:
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time.
- Restrict processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK, or your EU Member State's data protection authority).
Cross-border data transfers
Where we use third-party service providers based outside the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions — before transferring your personal data. A list of sub-processors is available upon request.
Data Protection Officer
We have assessed that we are not currently required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. If this changes, we will update this policy accordingly. For data protection queries, contact us at [email protected].
Brazilian users — LGPD
If you are located in Brazil, the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) applies to our processing of your personal information. In addition to the rights described in Section 5, you have the right to:
- Confirmation of whether we process your personal data.
- Portability of your personal data to another service provider, upon request.
- Information about third parties with whom we share your data.
- Revocation of consent at any time, free of charge.
- Lodge a complaint with the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD).
Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent if you are located in Brazil (see Section 4). To submit an LGPD request, contact us at [email protected].
7. Children's privacy
Our Site is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not have the ability to verify the age of our visitors, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. As we do not collect personally identifiable information directly, the risk of inadvertent collection is minimal. If you believe your child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate and take appropriate steps, including contacting our third-party processors where relevant.
8. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include infrastructure-level security provided by Cloudflare, and data minimization practices that limit the personal data we collect in the first place.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Where a data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours as required by GDPR. Where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to those individuals, we will also notify affected users without undue delay.
9. Third-party links
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites. Some of these may be affiliate links — meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase or sign up through them, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are not currently present on this Site but may be added in the future. We will clearly indicate affiliate links wherever they appear, and we will update this policy and our cookie consent mechanism before activating any affiliate tracking.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
Where changes affect the way we process personal data in a manner that requires consent — such as introducing new cookies or third-party processors — we will seek new consent from affected users before implementing those changes. For non-material updates, your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance.
11. Contact us
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact us at [email protected].
